Honolulu, Hi. — Ward Village, the new 60-acre coastal master planned community located in Honolulu, recently released its model units at Gateway Towers. The community’s two flagship towers, “Blade” and “Cylinder,” are being designed by legendary architecture firm Richard Meier & Partners and Tony Ingrao. In their work, there’s always a common thread — “a masterful interplay between light, space, and volume” — which can be seen in models of the elegant “Blade” and “Cylinder.”
The two buildings will offer a combined 236 residences starting at $1.5M. Ward Village is a community that is deeply rooted in a sense of place. Nowhere is this more evident than in the design of Gateway Towers, whose very forms are on the pivot point of Honolulu’s historic urban grid. The Blade is oriented in reference to downtown Honolulu to the west; while the Cylinder is oriented in a way that opens the property up to the ocean and the coastline to the east.
