America’s most expensive estates get more elaborate, and more expensive, every year. The Gemini estate in Florida tops the list this year at $195 million.
A 15.6-acre compound in Manalapan, Florida, known as the Gemini estate, has offered relaxation and adventure to family’s for almost 40 years, reports TopTenRealEstateDeals.com. The home was built in the 1940’s, and underwent a four-year reconstruction that was completed in 2003. The renovations include the construction of a tunnel to access the guest house and a boat dock on the Intracoastal Waterway. Both the exterior and interior have been designed for family life, with ample room for outdoor sports and perfect weather year-round.
The mansion, set on the 16 acres that spans 1,200 feet of Atlantic Ocean beachfront, offers 62,220 square feet and has a huge variety of tropical trees and plants, acting as a nature preserve and privacy hedge. There’s also a seven bedroom home named Mango House, a manager’s house with four apartments and two four-bedroom beach cottages with private quarters for extended family and friends. Overall, the property totals approximately 84,988 square feet of living space with 33 bedrooms and 47 baths, with high-quality materials, appliances and finishes.
The grounds are planned with both activity and relaxation in mind. A sports complex offers a half basketball court, tennis court, a practice golf course with two greens, a swimming pool surrounded by cultivated jungle, a treehouse with a slide for the children, a miniature golf course, a wide deserted beach and a boat dock on the Intracoastal with ocean access.
