Boasting A High-Tech Lifestyle And An In-House Technology Concierge, Ten Thousand Begins Leasing.
The 40-story tower building known as Ten Thousand is nearing completion on the edge of Beverly Hills and Century City. The building is one of the most technologically advanced buildings seen recently, offering beacon technology, a customized resident’s app, Predictive Service®, private Wi-Fi networks for each resident available throughout the entire property as well as a fascinating Relay delivery robot.
Designed and built by Savioke, “CHARLEY” is the building’s autonomous Relay delivery robot — the first ever to be deployed in a residential building. The company’s flagship product is a simple yet sophisticated delivery robot that works in human environments to improve people’s lives, having been only previously deployed in hotel environments and office buildings. CHARLEY will deliver items such as packages, meals, beverages, birthday cake and flowers right toe the residents’ door, all with the push of a few buttons. Working closely with the Ten Thousand tech and butler teams, Savioke programmed the Ten Thousand Relay robot to navigate the entire building, and it can even operate elevators on its own. A menu of items CHARLEY will deliver will be available through the Ten Thousand app. Residents will be able to order delivery items via iPad Mini 4s that will be presented to each residence upon move-in. A team of butlers will receive the requests, then place the items inside CHARLEY’s secure interior compartment for delivery.
“Crescent Heights® has established itself as an innovator in high-rise residential technology, and Ten Thousand is undoubtedly the building of the future,” said Roman Speron, Vice President of Crescent Heights®. “People rely on technology more than ever to simplify their lives, but often technology can prove challenging for residents. We have simplified the process so that residents can enjoy more leisure time, from having a parcel that just arrived to getting a morning latte delivered via robot to their front door. Similarly, the benefit of having a designated tech concierge means residents can call upon our in-house tech team with any type of request and be able to bypass waiting for phone tech support to get on the line and offer personalized assistance.”
For the creation of the building’s app, dashboards and touch screen displays, Crescent Heights® partnered with San Francisco-based Riseio®. In addition to providing one-touch access to the building’s services and amenities, Riseio’s app also integrates a beacon technology system throughout Ten Thousand – the first time beacons have ever been used in a multi-family residential building. It uses location-based services to understand residents’ personal behavior patterns, which allow staff to anticipate needs and requests. Riseio’s beacons will utilize Crescent Heights® signature Predictive Service® to ensure that staff understand residents’ unique preferences, from the way they take their coffee to what temperature they prefer in their car when they receive it from valet. Through the app, residents can also secure a personal training session, sign up for a complimentary fitness class, order a drink from the bar, reserve the private dining room for a dinner party, submit service requests, request their vehicle, pay rent and be notified of deliveries. Both the app and Ten Thousand iPad have been loaded with content that also enables residents to control and manage in-home temperature, lighting and switches directly from their devices.
In addition to offering beacons, a Relay delivery robot, an in-house tech concierge and a streamlined resident app, Ten Thousand provides residents access to an individual, private Wi-Fi network with complimentary Gigabit high speed internet, the fastest available internet access on the market, available throughout the entire property, through a partnership with Bel Air Internet (BAI). This secure access to personal Wi-Fi will allow residents to seamlessly enter their own protected network throughout the building, whether they want to use their iPad while lounging by the outdoor pool to print a document inside their residence, or stream music from the cloud while working out in the fitness center. During the move-in process, the tech concierge will personally onboard all of the residents’ devices, to work no matter where they are in the building. There are over 200 access points throughout Ten Thousand, each with 20GB of bandwidth, which is expandable up to 100GB at any time. Because the building will be blanketed in Wi-Fi capability and BAI will receive real-time updates remotely, residents can also avoid any speed or buffering issues and stream movies over the internet without interruption.
Residents will also have access to other advanced in-home tech features, such as secure electronic access to all residences and amenity spaces, Ecobee3 smart Wi-Fi thermostats with hands-free control and Schindler PORT Technology elevators that offer expedited, controlled access to individual floors, saving residents an average of 20 hours a year in time spent waiting for elevators and traveling to unintended destinations.
Ten Thousand will feature a wide array of amenities promoting indoor and outdoor wellness, leisure, culture and entertainment. Highlights include a one-acre park designed by Meléndrez; both an indoor lap pool and an outdoor sunning pool; indoor and outdoor movie theaters; a resident lounge with a full-service bar and private dining club inspired by the legendary Jimmy’s restaurant; an outdoor chef’s kitchen; a 20,000-square-foot Jay Wright-designed fitness program that includes a fitness center, private training rooms and a Pilates room; a massage and spa treatment room; fully equipped boardrooms; a lighted tennis court with private instruction; and a Kids’ Studio designed by the Novogratz family, inspired by the California workspace of Charles and Ray Eames.
Slated to open in January 2017, Ten Thousand will be home to exquisite residences offering an unprecedented residential experience. Ten Thousand’s leasing gallery is now open by appointment only. For more information, visit livetenthousand.com.
