With a curved, contemporary facade leaving its mark on the cityscape, and optimal building amenities, CIRCA offers its residents a flawless Central Park lifestyle.
“I think the number one distinguishing feature of CIRCA is that it’s such a prominent structure on such a beautiful circle,” says Elaine Diratz, managing director at Town New Development of the 11-story building on Frederick Douglass Circle. “It will become a landmark, I have no doubt.”
Light, airy openness describe the 38 residences that boast high ceilings and generous windows with views of the park. “Each apartment is unique,” says Diratz. “Most of them do not fit into the cookie-cutter apartment. They are spacious and angular, and reflect a higher level of design than most buildings.”
Besides a 24-hour doorman, green oasis and family-friendly amenities such as children’s, tween and study rooms, other special amenities appeal to the proximity to Central Park. Residents are welcome to fully stocked picnic baskets, a bike-share program, kids’ scooters and remote-controlled boats to be used in a classic family activity at the park’s water features.
“One of the best features we offer, especially for the Upper West Side, is private, self-parking. It’s so convenient. You don’t have to call in for your car to be brought down — to me that is the greatest and most luxurious feature,” says Diratz.
Apartments at CIRCA Central Park range from $2 million to $6.5 million.

Arriving to one of the remaining undeveloped corners adjacent to Central Park is CIRCA Central Park. With a contemporary façade leaving its mark on the cityscape, and ideal residential and building amenities, CIRCA offers its residents a flawless Central Park lifestyle.
“I think the number one distinguishing feature of CIRCA Central park is that it’s such a prominent structure on such a beautiful circle,” says Elaine Diratz, Managing Director at Town New Development. “It will become a landmark, I have no doubt.”
The rounded structure, built by FXFOWLE Architects stands 11 stories tall on the northwest corner of the park. “The building basically trails the perimeter of Frederick Douglass Circle,” says Diratz. “It’s very beautiful and very reflective of all the points of the park. Columbus Point is to the southwest; Grand Army Plaza is on the southeast side of the park; Duke Ellington circle is on the northeast side and Frederick Douglas occupies the northwest side of the park.”
This corner location of Central Park provided some pressure that extended beyond just offering an impeccable building for future residents. “Something had to be very special, right there on the northwest side of the park,” says Diratz, who believes the location both deserved and received a prominent, stunning structure.
“It’s very modern, a contemporary piece of artwork. Most importantly, it’s architecture that we feel fits into the environment,” says Diratz.
Light, airy and openness describe the 38 residences. High ceilings, coupled with generous windows offer a feeling of spaciousness and take in arguably the best feature of the residences: its proximity to the park. “Each apartment is unique. Most of them do not fit into the cookie-cutter apartment. They are spacious and angular, and reflect a higher level of design than most buildings.” Residences come equipped with kitchens featuring Kohler fixtures and Sub-Zero and Bosch appliances. The master baths exude classic and polished details, with white marble tile on the floors and walls and sophisticated Duravit features.
The interior of the building take in the very features of the Central Park it reflects: greenery, wood and tone materials make up the contemporary space. “Every part of the building is really thought-out and integrates from the outside to the inside. You get the complete picture of the building once you step in the door, it makes you feel exactly as the outside feels.”
And if the park’s proximity is not enough green space for you, the residences also offer views to the central court “a green oasis” and a public roof terrace perfect for entertaining with friends and family.
The amenities don’t stop there. Besides 24-hour doorman and a live-in super, the building offers especially family-friendly amenities. These include a children’s playroom, ‘Tween room, a study room with computers. “One of the best features we offer, especially for the Upper West Side, is private, self-parking. It’s so convenient. You don’t have to call in for your car to be brought down — to me that is the greatest and most luxurious feature.”
Even more, special amenities included with the building even appeal to the direct location to Central Park — providing residents with fully stocked picnic baskets to bring with them during a visit to the park. The building also offers a bike share program, bike storage, kid’s scooters, as well as remote-controlled boats to be used in a classic activity for the park’s water features.
“If someone wants a very contemporary artistic feel, something different than the typical Upper West Side building, but also wants to be right next to Central Park with amenities and features, then this is the location.”
Pricing of apartments range from $2 million to $6.5 million. Closing is occurring now and walk-ins are being accepted.
